Our pediatric occupational therapy services help children develop the skills necessary to lead happy and productive lives. We focus on developing the following musculoskeletal skills:
· Fine motor skills
· Visual-motor integration skills
· Hand, finger and grip strength
· Bilateral hand coordination
· Dexterity
· Body and Spatial Awareness
Functional independence with daily living skills is an integral component of each child's life so our interventions also centralize around dressing, feeding & grooming.
If you feel that your child is not meeting some of their developmental milestones as they should be, contact their pediatrician to request a referral for occupational therapy services. A list of milestone "guidelines" are provided below.
An addition, we provide Individual Skill Development and Enhancement for mental health clients who struggle with independence in completing daily occupations. Our team of occupational therapists are credentialed within (CCS) Comprehensive Community Services of Dane County's network. We provide treatment and strategies for children managing symptoms associated with ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Autism, Post-Traumatic Stress, and Depression. Our interventions are focused primarily within each child's CCS recovery plan as we strive to meet the needs of both our patient's and their families.
The job of learning involves skills that a child must possess to be successful at whatever they do. Discovering their optimal level of alertness for learning is an integral piece of executive functioning. We develop treatment plans and behavior modifications so that every child can increase their independence in self-regulation and attending behavior. We strive to provide solutions for sensory processing delays as well as strengthen a child's social skills.
